Red, White, and Blue … for the American Bride in You!
Memorial Day is one of our nation’s holidays that is a yearly reminder of those who have served our country and given their lives for our freedom. It was first proclaimed on May 5, 1868 by General John Logan, who was the National commander of the Grand Army of the Republic. In 1915, Moina Michael wrote a poem inspired by “Flander’s Fields”, and enticed people to begin to wear red poppies on Memorial Day in honor of those who have served our country. What better way to show your love for our country than with a red, white, and blue inspired wedding? If done right, it can look beautiful, and be very symbolic with the use of these colors.
